We are in the middle of a cold snap here in Northfield. It is difficult to imagine that the outdoor auction season will be starting in about eight weeks. If you know anyone who is thinking about having an auction this spring, have them give me a call. Right now is a good time to start thinking about dates. Many of you know that in addition to being an auctioneer, I am a licensed realtor. The two professions go hand in hand. As a realtor, I know that sometimes we go to look at a piece of real estate and find that the property is so full of “stuff” that it can’t be sold something is done with all the personal property. If you know an attorney, a realtor, or a personal representative who is faced with a problem property like this, please refer them to me. With my 25 years of experience as an auctioneer, I have a pretty good idea which items have value, which can be recycled, and which need to be disposed of and where (and how) to dispose of them. Realizing the importance of using the internet for visibility in real estate, I have joined with several other people in our Coldwell Banker office to start a real estate weblog to offer an online way to keep track of real estate news in Northfield. You can visit this site at www.nrgrealestate.org.
We are looking forward to a busy spring. Our fundraiser season is starting soon. I will be conducting the annual auction at the Mantorville Mulligan Stew fundraiser on March 13, followed by the Northfield Arts Guild fundraiser on March 14, and the Prairie Creek School fundraising auction on April 11.
Hope to see you soon at one of our auctions
