It’s February: What’s New?

We have turned the page to a new month.  Things are starting to get interesting.  I will be writing a posting soon for the Northfield Arts Guild Auction for the Arts, which will be held on March 14 in Northfield.  I am starting work on the catalog for the Stephen Fymbo auction to be held on April 12 in Mantorville.  I am also starting work on a huge milk glass auction to be held in Kansas City on April 26.  This auction will be held to sell the Harriet Ward milk glass collection.  I will be posting pictures of this collection as we obtain them.  As my regular readers know, in addition to being a professional auctioneer, I am also a licensed realtor with Coldwell Banker South Metro Realty in Northfield, Minnesota.  I really believe in the power of blogs as a way to communicate with current and prospective clients.  Several of my colleagues and I have started a new blog www.nrgrealestate.org.  Our objective is to provide information about the Northfield and South Metro real estate market.  We will be bringing several points of view to this site.  I, of course, see things from the perspective of an auctioneer, seeing the house full of antiques as well as the real estate itself.  Another of our contributors has many years in the real estate business and brings a historical perspective to the blog, having seen the market rise and fall and rise again in earlier market cycles.  Our third regular contributor has become something of an expert in the foreclosure process and his postings will help you understand what is going on with short sales and foreclosures.  We encourage to you to take a look at this blog from time to time as we navigate our way through this challenging real estate market.
